Friends of the Homeless of Tuscarawas County Logo Contest

The Friends of the Homeless of Tuscarawas County is conducting a logo contest to coincide with the construction and opening of a new shelter in New Philadelphia. The new facility will honor Friends of the Homeless founder Jack Ream and be known as “Jack’s House of Hope.” The new logo will be revealed when the Friends of the Homeless unveil the building addition plans this spring. The logo should reflect that Jack’s House of Hope creates hope and changes lives for the unhoused and others in our community living on the edge. More than a shelter, Jack’s House of Hope provides hope and changes lives as a faith-based organization providing housing assistance, counseling, food, hygiene products, life-skill training, and more.

The logo contest is open to all individuals. Criteria are:

  • The new logo should reflect the concept that the the Friends of the Homeless is a source of hope for people in the community and assists families and individuals in a faith-based environment to achieve stability, sobriety, and permanent housing.
  • The logo should be an original, simple, and clear design using bright colors and include only the name Jack’s House of Hope.”
  • Entries should be submitted on 8.5×11 inch paper. The name, email, street address and phone number of the individual submitting the entry should be on the back of the paper only.
  • All types of entries will be accepted including hand drawn and computer-aided designs.
  • The logo selected will become the sole property of the Friends of the Homeless; Jack’s House of Hope.
  • The winning entry will receive a $400 award and recognition on the Friends of the Homeless webpage, Facebook, and local media.

Entries are due by April 1.
